FROM THE POTENTATE

Hi everyone. Can you believe it's April already? We're already a quarter of the way through 2026, and time is flying!

April's arrival means Zem Zem is getting ready for parade season. Our clubs and units are getting their vehicles and gear in order, anticipating finally hitting the streets to show the public what we're all about. Parading is my favorite thing to do as a Shriner, and words can't express how much I'm looking forward to this year's parade season. I can't wait to see everyone out and about, having fun and enjoying fellowship while entertaining onlookers. The more time we spend on the streets, the greater our positive exposure.

If you don't currently belong to a club or unit that parades, now is the time to find one. I'm certain any one you choose will be glad to have you. If you need help finding a unit, please contact me directly and I'll find you one that fits your interests. Let's make this year a great one for parades.

A WORD FROM THE FIRST LADY

First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who has donated to the 2026 First Lady's Project. It touches my heart, for sure. Burt and I traveled to Warren County last month along with members of the Divan and their Ladies, and two of our Aides and their Ladies. It was a fun evening with a delicious meal. We look forward to traveling throughout our oasis to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Our Nobles and Ladies are truly the heartbeat of Zem Zem.

The First Lady's Project Committee is currently running a raffle for half a beef. The winner will be drawn at the Activities Committee's Meat Bingo at the Mercer County Shrine Club on April 19th. Please contact Burt or me if you would like to purchase tickets. Tickets for the Jewelry Jackpot are also available.

In closing, thanks again to everyone who has helped with or donated to the 2026 First Lady's Project. I couldn't do it without you.
