FROM THE POTENTATE

It's June, and things at Zem Zem are ramping up for the summer! Everyone who knows me knows that I thoroughly enjoy parading. Our official parade season started on Memorial Day in Mercer, and we had a BIG presence. If you weren't there, you missed a good time, but you can see lots of pictures on our Facebook Page; Zem Zem Shriners - Erie, PA. I want to personally thank Hebron Lodge #575 for their hospitality. In conjunction with the Mercer County Shrine Club, they provided a place to enjoy a delicious meal and some Masonic fellowship after the parade.

The next Temple Function is Shriners' Day at Shriners Children's Erie on June 7th, from 11 AM until 2 PM. Our clubs and units will be displaying their rides and the Zem Zem

Band will be playing. There will be a classic car show and you can tour the medical center to learn about the different types of care our patients receive there. Be sure to wear your Fez and represent Zem Zem if you attend.

A WORD FROM THE FIRST LADY

First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who has donated to the 2026 First Lady's Project. It touches my heart, for sure. Burt and I traveled to Warren County last month along with members of the Divan and their Ladies, and two of our Aides and their Ladies. It was a fun evening with a delicious meal. We look forward to traveling throughout our oasis to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Our Nobles and Ladies are truly the heartbeat of Zem Zem.

The First Lady's Project Committee is currently running a raffle for half a beef. The winner will be drawn at the Activities Committee's Meat Bingo at the Mercer County Shrine Club on April 19th. Please contact Burt or me if you would like to purchase tickets. Tickets for the Jewelry Jackpot are also available.

In closing, thanks again to everyone who has helped with or donated to the 2026 First Lady's Project. I couldn't do it without you.
